I discussed the centent of cur reply to IE Bulletin No 79-19 with Mr Harrf Harrison of your Materials 3 ranch en 17 Cet 79. As our reply is a negative one, I wanted to insure that cur respense was in ccepliance with the intent of the bulletin.

Tne United States Air Force Acade:rf presently holds fcur NRC licenses:
05-12629-01, J5-12629-02, SN4-1285, SMB-1306. For mest operations under these licenses, no waste is generated which cannot be disposed of after sufficient scorage to allcw for decay to backgrcund levels. The answers to questiens in paragraph 9 are as fo11cws:

1979, no shipments; 1978, no shipments.

No liquid waste.

In regard to other acticn items contained in the bulletin, we presently have ccpies of 10 CFR (updated) and 49 CFR. Ccpies of requirements for those states with burial sites are being foraarded to us frc:a the USAF Radioisotope Cec:.ittee.
4 If shipment of radioactive waste frc:a cur facility is required in the
- uture, it will be accccplished in accordance with T.O. 00-110N-2. A ccpy is enclosed for your files.
In addition, specific local actions for disposal of wast.e are included in cur present licenses.
