MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE

, REPLY IN SUPPORT OF VERIFIED PETITION AND MOTION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Petitioners hereby move the Atomic Energy Commission for an extension of time within which to file their reply in support of their Verified Petition And Motion For Financial Assistance. In support of this Motion, Petitioners state:

1. Under date of May 11, 1974 Petitioners moved the Atomic Energy Commission for financial assistance (witnesses '

fees and attorneys' fees) in order to allow meaningful partici-pation in the Show Cause Hearing which the Petitioners were in-strumental in bringing before the Atomic Energy Commission; j 2. Consumers Power Company, Bechtel and the Regulatory Staff have all *iled papers objecting to the granting of relief;

3. Pursuant to permission by the Secretary of the Atomic Energy Commission, Petitioners intend to file a response l

to the objections raised by Consumers Power Company, Bechtel and the Regulatory Staff;

4. However, the primary attorney for the Petiticaers, Myron M. Cherry, is unable to prepare this response at the pre-s sent time due to the unexpected death of his father on June 24, 1974; .

5.

Because of the total unavailability of Myron M.

Cherry for the next week, Petitioners respectfully request a two-week extension of time within which to file their reply.
