Dear Mr. Karas:
There is deposited herewith for filing, in accordance with the direction contained in a telegram from the Commissien dated January 29, 1974, the " opposition of Consumers Pcuer Company to Petition to the Atomic Energy Commission," together with attachments and a certificate of service executed by the undersigned.
Attachments A and B to the " opposition" constitute the affidavits of William E. Kessler and Robert B. Atwater.
They were executed in Jackson, Michigan, today.
However, it has not been possible to forward the original executed affidavits to Washington before the regular closing time of the Public Document Room, 5:15 p.m.
In the circumstances, telecopies of the executed affidavits were sent to Washington, copied, and those copies are attached to the original and each copy of the " opposition" which has been filed and served today.
The originals of the affidavits will be filed immediately upon their receipt in Washington.
