In accordance with an understanding we reached in a telephone conversation last week, I am transmitting herewith _ copies of the documents listed in Appendix A.

As you are aware, all these documents are and have been available for public int,pection at the Commission's public documents room in Washington, D. C.
Most of the enclosed dociments are letters from the Directorate of Licensing, or one of its predecessor offices, to Consumers Power Company, copies of which have not previously been sent to you.
Recently, you made us aware that we had somehow discontinued a practice whereby copies of such letters were being sent to you routinely. We now know that the cause was simply administrative error. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you and will take steps to see that you receive copies of future corres-pondence of this type.
The rest of the enclosed documents are letters from Consumers in response to our own letters. As you know, we have never assumed responsibility for sending you copies of these letters.
