s UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY C0" MISSION DOCKETS 50-329 AND 50-330 CONSUMEFS POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND FACILITY LICENSE Consumers Power Company, (the applicant) 212 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan, pursuant to Section 104(b) of the Atomic Energy Acc of 1954, as amended, has filed an application, dated January 13, 1969, for authorization to construci; and operate two pressurized water nuclear reactors at the applicant's Midland site. The site is located on the right shore of the Tittabawasee River in Midland Township, Midland County, Michigan, and is adjacent to the Dow Chemical Company's main industrial complex in the City of Midland.

The proposed reactors, designated by the applicant as the Midland Plant Units Nos. 1 and 2, are each designed for initial operation at approximately 2,452 thermal megawar.ts. The total net output of both plants will be approximately 1325 megawatts, electrical, plus 4,050,000 lbs/hr of process steam.

A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room, 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D. C.
