Hatling and E.
Taylor Hare have been admitted as parties in the above matter by MEMORANDUM AND ORDER of the Commission issued December 19, 1972 and docketed December 20, 1972.
Intervenors MECCA, Hatling and Hare herewith file their Answer to the NOTICE OF HEARING ON A FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE in the above matter issued by the Commission December 19, 1972 and docketed December 20, 1972.
This Answer is filed pursuant to that Notice and the previsions of 10 CFP H 2.705 of the Commission's " Rules of Practice".
I.
Tha nature of Intervenors position in this proceeding is that no justification exists for the issuance of a facility operating -
license to the Applicant.
Further that no justification exists for further operation of the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
Intervenors position is more fully set forth in their PETITION FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE in the above-captioned matter dated _ September 19, -
1972, and filed with the Commission that date which is hereby incorporated by reference.
II.
" Specification of issues" has not been determined by the Commission ar of this date.
Intervenors will set forth those items of the " specification of issues" at such time as those items are specified by the Commission.
Accordingly, Intervenors reserve their right to do so until 20 days following the docketing of such
" specification of issues" by the Commission.
III.
Intervenors intend to appear and present evidence in the above proceeding and to fully participate in,all aspects of the above-captioned proceeding.
