20555 Re:
Midland Suspension Hearings Gentlemen:
I have just received Mr. Tourtellotte's letter of March 7, 1977 asking that I be admonished for writing a letter to the Board I
outlining my client's position.
It is beyond my bel'ief that Mr.
Tourtellotte, who is, of course, paid by the American public, can waste his time in writing letters attempting to circumscribe my abilities to represent my client.
Mr. Tourtellotte, as Assistant Chief Hearing Counsel, might do better to spend his time analyzing why Staff witnesses merely re-gurgitate utility positions without any analysis.
And so long as Mr. Tourtellotte has so much time, he might want to analyze why the Regulatory Staff did not make a complete inventory of information prior to this hearing, and did not find out about the massive mani-pulation that has gone on at this hearing.
(
Further, if Mr. Tourtellote wants to continue in a constructive manner, he can investigate the massive lying that went on by Regula-tory Staff witnesses at ECCS hearings, as well as the general level of incompetence throughout the NRC.
Finally, Mr. Tourtellote can spend some time analyzing his own personal values, which apparently do not permit him to see the real issues because of his own personal pique and bias against me.
Frankly, given the standards and values which Mr. Tourte11otte espouses, it is rather comforting to know that he is criticizing me.
