. WHEREAS, The Internation'l a Union of District 50, AlliedandTechnicalWorkersofthhUnitedStatesandCanada has formally endorsed the utilization of Nuclear Energy in industry, and - *

, WHEREAS, resulting from Research~by,our Scientists and Research and Development conducted by Government and Industry, nuclear powered generators have been perfected to produce electricai energy, and -

~

WHEREAS, the electrical energy needs have been doubling every ten years and future energy requirements for home and industry are expected to continue to grow at this rate, and

WHEREAS, there is planned a nuclear powered electric generating plant for the Midland, Michigan area which is intended to increase the electric power potential to assure an adequate supply for the growing domestic and industrial needs and to enhance job opportunities in the area. .
