Ec advised that no relays of these types have been installed in safety related sys-tems of the Midland plant and thus no corrective action is necessary.
Since there does exist a history of failures of General Electric Ccapany rcic'/
types HFA, HGA, HKA and HMA and it is planned to use these relay types in balance of plant safety related syste=s, it vill be determined that such relays are not of the 1969 or earlier vintage.
In addition, your letter of 1,hrch 16,1976, requested that a determination be made on whether General Electric Company relay types STD vere installed or scheduled to be installed in safety related systems of the Midland plant.
Be advised that no relays of this type have been or are planned to be installed in safety related systems of the Midland plant, thus no corrective action is necessary.
