REMARKS: IP 71111.12, Maintenance Effectiveness, has been revised to conform to new IP format requirements found in IMC 0040 (ML18003A122). Incorporated revisions to include SSCs categorized as risk-informed safety class (RISC)-3 for plants that have implemented the requirements of 10 CFR 50.69. Incorporated revisions to include passive long-lived SSCs. Incorporated feedback form 71111.12-2325 recommendation to remove vertical slice language.
IP 71111.18, Plant Modifications, has been revised to add guidance to consider plant modification changes to PRA for sites that have adopted provisions of 10 CFR 50.69, TS SFCP, or TS RICT. The current note in the General Guidance section states, Potential issues regarding the impact that changes have on Emergency Preparedness and Security should be raised and addressed under their respective Inspection Programs. The note is revised to reiterate that Cyber Security issues fall under the Security Inspection Program.
IP 83801, Inspection of Remedial and Final Surveys at Permanently Shut Down Reactors, has been revised to incorporate Appendix A into the procedure, and clarify the use of a contractor for verification surveys.
