)
50-328 In my letter to you dated August 1, 1980, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) responded to various NRC concerns including minimum shift manning and remote interrogation of meteorological data. These responses have been discussed with the NRC and TVA has agreed to the following revisions:
Shift Manning--The Mechanical Maintenance /Radwaste Operator and Electrical Maintenance / Instrument and Control (I&C) Technician will be available within one-half hour. Appendix E, Section 2.0 of the TVA-REP provides for augmenting of the onsite emergency response organization, as requested by NUREG-0654, in approximately one-half hour.
Meteorological Data--TVA will provide the capability for remote interrogation of meteorological data to the NRC during emergency situations.
TVA will provide this capability by July 1982 provided that clarification and resolution of data requirements are fully addressed within a reasonable time to meet this schedule.
Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY i
