IE Bulletin No.79-03A In accordance with your request, the following information is provided in response to IE Bulletin No.79-03A.
We have reviewed the balance of plant safety-related piping specifications and found no seamwelded SA312, Type 300 series pipe material used in the Perry design where the pipe pressure stress due to the design conditions (pressure and temperature) would exceed 85% of the ASME B&PV Code Section III allowable stress. Also, the NSSS supplier's material specifications do not allow
- the use of ASME SA312 type piping in safety-related systems.
