to A. Schwencer on July 28, 1980, concerning Unit 2 Steam Generator Tube Inteerity Gentlemen:
As a result of discussions with the h"dC Staff, Alabama Power Company revises its submittal, dated July 28, 1980, concerning the control points for initiating condenser leakage location and mitigation procedures (Abnormal Operating Procedure -25).
The control points, using cation conductivity as an action parameter, are now proposed to be the following:
1.
Condensate pump discharge sampling point 2.
Condenser 1otwell and steam generator blowdown sampling j
points.
The condensate pump discharge sampling point will require the addition of continuous cation conductivity measuring capability with i
appropriate alarm. This is scheduled for completion prior to full power operation.
In addition, feedwater impurity-time operating limits, utilizing the parameters of pH and cation conductivity, have been incorporated into condenser leakage abnormal operating procedures as specified in our submittal of July 28, 1980.
