Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
In accordance with the requirements of IE Bulletin 79.01B, Environmental Qualification of Electrical Equipment, dated January 17, 1980, Alabama Power Company submits the' attached response for Items 4 and 5 for Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 1.
e This submittal represents an extensive review of the environmental qualification of electrical equipment within the scope of the bulletin both inside and outside the containment.
The first response to the bulletin, which was submitted on April 29, 1980, addressed items 1, 2 and 3 of the bulletin and demonstrated that Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 1 electrical equipment meets the FSAR requirements for environ-mental qualification.
The attached response compares Unit 1 electrical equipment to the DOR guidelines in IE Bulletin 79.01B and demonstrates that the equipment meets those guidelines.
However, a few equipment items have been identified for which full environmental qualification documentation is not available.
These have been noted as " outstanding items" on the component worksheets in' accordance with item 4 of the bulletin.
