Dear !!r. Tavacs:

This is in regard to your petition dated liarch 10, 1980 on behalf of the Foster !! heeler Energy Corporation.

The petition requests that the Co:anission exempt persons licensed under 10 CFP. Part 34 who deliver licensed material to a carrier-for transport under the general license provision of 10 CFR 71.12. from maintaining documentation other than the Certificate of Compliance for a given source caterial shipping container.

The petition states that the documents, other than the Certificate of Compliance, covered by 10 C17, 71.12(b)(1)(i) are drawings, applications. Test results, photographs, and o"her correspondence related to the source shipping containers. The p :tition further states that these documents are neither helpful nor necessary for persons licensed under 10 CFR Part 34 whc deliver packages to carriers under the general license provision of 10 CFR 71.12.

Finally, the petition requests that "the regulation, as i.

pertains to our license category...be withdrawn."
