MEMORANDUM (August 4, 1980)

Through recent press eports, the board has become aware of the occurrence of an earthquake on July 27, 1980, centered in Northern Ken' icky (apparently near Maysville).

It appears that this event may possibly have serious safety significance with regard to the Zimmer facility and that, accordingly, its analysis and evaluation should be included in the record of this proceeding.
