Docket No. 50-344 ET AL.

NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME On July 28, 1980 the Office of the Executive Legal Director received the State of Oregon motion dated July 23, 1980 te reconsider the Initial Deci-sion issued by the Licensing Board in this proceeding. The Staff's response to the State's motion, pursuant to 10 CFR 95 2.771(b) and 2.710, will be due on August 11, 1980.

For the reason set out below, the Staff requests an extension of time until August 18, 1980 to file its response.

Staff counsel in this proceeding, Mr. Gray, has been scheduled to be away from the office for the period July 28 through August 11, 1980. Conse-quently, he has not had an opportunity to consider the State's motion nor to prepare the Staff's response to the motion.

It is believed that an extension of time until August 18, 1980 would provide sufficient time for Mr. Gray to prepare the Staff's response. Counsel for the Applicant and Counsel for the State of Oregon have been contacted and have authorized the undersign to state that they have no objection to the granting of Staff's request.
