Dear f!r. Engelken:
In response to your letter of ?!ay 6, 1980, which transmitted the subject IE Bulletin, the Sacramento !!unicipal Utility District is hereby submitting the required response.
In accordance with item 1 of the bulletin, the District has reviewed the Rancho Seco facility design and operation to identify systems considered as nonradioactive which could possibly become radioactive through interfaces with radioactive systems. A list of those systems identified along with the applicable interface component has been compiled.
In accordance with item 2 of the bulletin, utilizing the above-mentioned list, a study of a practical sampling program to promptly identify any contami-nating events which could lead to unmonitored or uncontrolled releases has been completed.
Said program will be effected by additions or changes to the Chemistry and Radiochemistry manuals.
1 Respectfully submitted, f
