South Texas Project Units 1&2 Docket Nos. STN-498, STN-499 Request for Information and Qualification Requirements for Use of the ADL Computer Code on the South Texas Project Houston Lighting & Power Company is requesting specific direction and instructions for qualification of a stress analysis computer code intended to be utilized on the South Texas Project. The computer code is planned to be leased from Arthur D. Little, Inc. (ADL) and will be used in calculations for piping systems (ASME III and/or ANSI B31.1). This computer code has been used extensively on nuclcar power plant applications in the past. To ensure that the South Texas Project is consistent with current licensing requirements, HL&P requests information on any qualification requirements or recomendations (e.g.
benchmarking problems, etc...) so that this code (ADL) may be utilized by HL&P.
