Dear Mr. Engleken:
In accordance with IE ' Bulletin 80-05, the District has completed a review of all systems that could be valved directly to primary system water. The following systems were reviewed: o Reactor Coolant System o Make-up and Purification Systems o Coolant Radwaste System Four tanks were identified that could be subjected to vacuum conditions:
- 1. Reactor Coolant System Drain Tank
- 2. Pressurizer Relief Tank
- 3. Flash Tank
- 4. Make-up Tank The reactor coolant system drain tank is provided with a vacuum breaker.
The vacuum breaker capacity exceeds that of the pumps which pump water from the tank. The design of the remaining tanks is such that they can withstand vacuum conditions without inward buckling. "f0' D' 7' 2 fd 'y " ' " " " " ' " * " ' ' ^ WS" "/ j f
