Dear Sir:

In your letter of December 26, 1979, Portland General Electric Company was requested to provide information regarding estimates of evacuation times around future nuclear power plants. We have completed this evaluation and have attached a summary report for your information.

As a result of this preliminary study, no unusual evacuation problems have been identified for. the Pebble Springs Nuclear Plant site. The estimated evacuation time for normal conditions is I hr. and for abnormal conditions is I hr. and 20 min. local of ficials have had an opportunity to review this report and their com=ents have been incorporated.
