Dear Mr. Rawl:
By application dated June 16, 1980, Technical Operations In'corporated requested renewal of NRC Certificate of Compliance No. 9053 for the Model No. 683 package.
The application also requested that the package design be issued an IAEA Certificate of Competent Authority as a Type B(b) package.
Based upon our review of the application, we have concluded that the package (Model No. 683) authorized by NRC Certificate of Compliance No. 9053 meets the IAEA requirements for Type B(U) packages.
