ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON MODEL NO. 589 PACKAGE DESIGN On October 4, 1979, General Electric submitted an application (NEDO-24613) for NRC certification of a radwaste shipping package Model No. 589.
On January 14, 1980 the NRC requested additional information which was supplied in a revised submittal on March 24, 1980.
On May 29 the NRC requested further information.
In response to the NRC request for further information, there are attached eight copies of three dr: wings 589-L Sheet (1 of 3) Revision (0), 589-L Sheet (2 of 3) Revision (0), and 589-L Sheet (3 of 3)
Revision (0), which replace the drawings transmitted on May 29, 1980, 589 Revision (2) Sheet (1 of 3), 589 Revision (1) Sheet (2 of 3),
and 589 Revision (3) Sheet (3 of 3).
We trust this information is satisfactory to permit issue of an appropriate certificate.
