In connection with the Board's consideration of the relationship between the present proceeding and the ECCS rule making proceeding (Docket No. RM 50-1), I believe it will be of interest to the Board and the parties to be advised that it is my understanding that the Commission plans to conduct an environmental review in the ECCS proceeding (including preparation of draft and final impact statements) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and applicable regulations of the Council on Environmental Quality and the
- AEC.
As the Board may know, a similar environmental review is being conducted in the pending effluents rule making proceeding (Docket No. R'4 50-2). -
