second paragraph. Mr.ECherry's letter raises nothing new so the

original judgments I provided to you stand firm.

I do wish to alert l

you to two of.the inaccuracies contained in Mr. Cherry's letter. With fa regard to Item 5, please be advised that the Staff analysis of the Dow alternative was admitted into evidence on March 24, 1977. As to

the validity of the analysis _, the information was supplied to you so

that you may judge its worth.

7 Finally, Mr. Cherry makes the coment in his~ penul'timate paragraph that "the Commission has comented adversefy on the Staff's prepara-G',

tion in this case and that the Staff may be involved in withholding m.,

important infonnation from the hearing record."' There is ~no truth j

to this allegation. Urifortunately, Mr. Cherry failed to supply a reference supporting his claim as is~his usual practice. A copy of this letter is going to Mr. Cherry and I presume he will supply the l

reference in. question, if it exists.
