-In the Matter of Consumers Power Company Midland Plant, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-329 and 50-330 Gentlemen:
Last week, on either September 22nd or 23rd, the State of Kansas filed a Petition to Intervene in this proceeding.*
Under 10 CFR S2.714 (b), Applicant would have had five days from the date of filing, exclusive 6f Saturday and Sunday,'
in which to answer the petition.
Mr. Edward G.
Collister, Jr., Assistant Attorney General for the State of Kansas, has agreed to extend Applicant's time to answer the petition to Monday, October 11, 1971.
We feel that this extension is necessary in order for us to properly meet the issues raised by the petition.
We therefore request the Board's approval of this stipulation, in accordance with 10 CFR S2.711.
