Dr. Glenn T. Seaborg

  • Chairman
  • Atomic Energy Commission ~ .. -

Washington, D.C. 20545 -

Dear Dr. Seaborg:

I have recently received some disturbing news from Mr. Lynn S. Castner, an attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who represents Mr. Steve Gadler.

Mr. Gadler had requested permission to make a Ifmited appearance before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board in order to present testimony concerning the Midland, Michigan Power Plant. Mr. Gadler's application to testify was granted but his appearance did not take place due to an oversight on the part of the Board. Because Mr. Gadler has a great deal of professional experience with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency the state agency directly concerned with pollution, and due to his extensive professional experience in this field, it

, appears that he would be able to 6ffer significant testimony to the Board. . Therefore, I am requesting that you do everything in your  ;

power to provide Mr. Gadler with the opportunity to make the appearance before the Board that he requested and which was 1 originally granted. ,

l

, With best wishes. l S .
