CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY REPORT #2, JUNE 29, 1973 RESPONSE TO AEC ALAB-106 (MARCH 26,1973)
Report #2:
Conditions 2.F.b & 2.F.c.
Covez-ing the period Ending September 30, 1973 A.
Construction work to be perfor=ed during period Ending Septe=ber 30, 1973 1.
Continue re= oval of temporary enclosures, removal of strav, and general site clean-up to allow ccustruction activities to continue.
Continue clean-up and restoration, inspection of existing materials and complete approximately during the latter part of July 1973.

Batch Plant Operations to include check out and testing of equipment, calibrating of scales, and other weighing and measuring devices -
also to include synchronizing mem-o-tizers and weights for print outs.
Plant is expected to be ready for operation by mid July.
Mix designs and tecting of materials vill be acccmplished after Pittsburgh Testing Q
Lab arrives at the site on or about July 9,1973 for interim testing.
All trucks presently at the site are expected to be checked out and in proper condition by mid July 1973.

Waterproof =embrane vill be cleaned up, repaired or replaced as required.
It is anticipated that this vill take place in July.

Reactor Euilding No. 2 concrete activities during the reporting period will include form erection, rebar and. embedded metal installa-tion and placing concrete in the tendon access gallery and base slab.
5 Reactor Building No.1 concrete activities for the reporting period -
will include form erection, embedded metal and rebar installation and placing concrete in the base slab.

Auxiliary Euilding concrete activities vill include form erectier, embedded' metal and rebar installation and concrete placement from line D to line G, elevation 568' to elevation 573'.
7 Reactor hilding No. 1 liner plate activities vill include initiation and pursuance of erection of jigs and fabrication of the first lift from elevation 593' to elevation 673'.

The subcontract earthwork activities vill include reconditioning of

RESUME OF GARY L. RICHARDSON Mr. Richardson will j oin Bechtel in July, 1973 as a Quality Assurance Engineer in the thermal. power organization and will be assigned to ~ the Midland Proj ect.
He attended Sierra 4
College, Auburn, California for two years majoring in engineering and received his AA degree in 1958.
Additionally he has completed courses in Construction Supervision and Management conducted by i
the State of California.
Mr. Richardson's work experience encompasses approximately 15 years of Civil, structur:1 construction activities for the State of California, Department of Water Resources.
His experience includes 5 years as a Construction Supervisor responsible for the supervision of a materials testing laboratory and three years as an assistant supervisor and approximately 7 years of diversified experience in the areas of construction inspection surveying, office engineering and report writing.
Mr. Richardson will begin the formal Bechtel indoctrination and training program established for Quality Assurance Engineers immediately after joining Bechtel.
