January 16, 1974 50- 329 NOTE TO FILES MEETING WITH WILLIAM J. LANOUETTE OF THE NATIONAL OBSERVER WITH REGARD TO MIDLAND A meeting was held on January 15, 1974, to discuss the sequence of events which led to the Show Cause Order on the Midland case.
This meeting was prompted by a letter of 31 December 1973 to the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission from William J. Lanouette.
Details of the inspections and correspondence with the applicant were shown to the reporter.
At the conclusion of the inter-view, Mr. Lanouette indicated that he was satisfied, all of his questions had been answered, and no written response was expected.
