UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COSDfISSION DOCKET No. 50-312 SACRAMENTO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT S0TICE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND FACILITY LICENSE Sacramento Municipal Utility District, 6201 S Street, Post Office Box 15830, Sacramento, California 95813, pursuant to Section 104(b) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, has filed an application, dated November 1, 1967, for authorization to construct and operate a pressurized water nuclear reactor on the applicant's approximately 2480-acre site located in the southeast part of Sacramento County, about twenty-five mil'es southeast of Sacramento, California.
The proposed reactor, designated by the applicant as the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Unit No.
1, is designed for initial operation at approximately 2:52 megawatts (thermal), with a net electrical output of approximately 800 megawatts.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room, 1717 H Street, N. W., Washington, D. C.
