SACRAMENTO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE Notice is hereby given that the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. I to Facility Operating License No. DPR-54 issued to Sacramento Municipal Utility District which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1, located in Sacramento County, California. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.

The amendment changes the surveillance requirements for the auxiliary feedwater pumps to require testing only when the average reactor coolant temperiture is above 305 F.

0 The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regolations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth it, the license aaendment.

Prior public notice of this amendment is not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
