rollowing our review of an application by Sacramento Municipal Utilities District, a construction permit was granted en October 11, 1968, to construct the Rancho Seco Generating Station Unit 1.
Since then, Sacrar. ento Municipal Utilities District has submitted Supplement No.1, dated December 15, 1968, and Supplccent No. 2, dated July 8,1969, which made certain design changes.
I am sending you o copy of the rost recent one, Supple =ent No. 2 The initial application and Preliminary Safety Analysis Report with amendments thereto was sent to Gene Blanc at the tice we reviewed the application ra construction pernit. I assume these were transferreu to your office, but if you do not have then and would like a set, I will be glad to forward them to you.
1 am also enclosing a copy of Acendnent No. 4, dated July 10, 1969, to the application filed by Pacific Gas and Electric Company for itr nuclear unit 2 at the Diablo Canyon site.

The Coalition believes information as to whether proper materials vero used in the backfill is important for the record of the hearing, in order to ascertain whether Davis Besse Nuclear Pcuer Station night be sub;icct to storm damage, h.
Information provided by Er. Lowell Roe with respcct to Herron Testing under cross examination, tr. page 661, lines 18 through 2h, does not necessarily appear to b*c correct.

that I was advised by Mr. Roe that Horron Testing was in Pennsylvanir., and the Ccalition did not have adequate finances for extensive investigations. In addition to making two trips to the Davis-3 esse site for interviews, I also made one trip to the office of Toledo Edison in Toledo, and four trips to Cleveland nectric Illuminating Cenpanyis
' office in Cleveland, attempting to obtiin answers to our interrogatorics, and during the same period of time I also 'had to respond to Applicante' Interrogatories and AEC
