Dear Dr. Walska:
The Atomic Energy Cons:lission has issued Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-56 to Sacramento Municipal Utility District for the construction of a pressurized water nuclear reactor designated as the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Unit No. 1 on the licencee's site in the southeast portion of Sacramento County, California.
A copy of the construction permit is enclosed together with a related notice which has been transmitted to the Office of the Federal Register for filing and publication.
The permit has been issued pursuant to the Initial Decision of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board. A copy of the decision is also enclosed.
