REOUEST FOR HEARING ON DAVIS-BESSE g
I am forwarding a copy of a letter dated June 7,1979 from Ohio State Senator Tim McCormack who is a northeast Ohio resident.
The letter is ad-dressed to Harold Denton.
Also enclosed is a copy of a May 3,1979 letter from the same individual to Chairman Hendrie and a copy of the response from Harold Denton dated June 1, 1979.
Taken together with the previous letter to Chairman Hendrie referenced in the June 7 letter, Senator McCormack's most recent letter appears to constitute a request for a hearing on Davis-Besse, as provided for in the Comission's Order of May 16, 1979.
Since the original Order was issued by the Commission, requests for hearing in response to it should also be addressed to the Commission or its Secretary.
The Staff will address the merits of the request in a pleading to be filed with the Commission later this week.
