Tne public hearinn, en the application of The Toledo Edison Coc:pany and The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co=many for a construc-tion permit for the Davis-Lesse 1:uclear Power Station coreenced on Decen'scr 8,1970, at Port Clinton, Ohio, and was in process during the periods of December S-10,1970, January 5-7, 1971, and January 25-29, 1971. The hearing uns recu=ad on February 8, 1971, and was concluded on February 12, Isl71.
In a letter dated January 7,1971, the applicants for the construction permit requested the Cocnicsion, pursuant to 10 CFa fiSO.12 of the Cocuinsion's regulations, for an exemption from the licensing requirc=ents of 10 CrR 05J.10 to allow addi-tionsi below grade construction work on the Davis-Besse Station.
On January 25, 1971, the Coc=ission deferred further action with respect to the request.
