55 Fublic Squarc, Clevaland, Oh io 44101, pursuant to tne Ato.nic Energy Act o f 1954, as amended, hav2 filed an application dated August 1, 1969, for a censtruction permit aad a facility license to authorize construction and operation of a prescurized water nuclear reactor on the applicants' appronimately 900-acre site on' the southwest shore o f Lake Erie, about 21 miles cast of Toleda and about 9 miles n: rthwest of Port Clinton, in Ottawa Ccunty, Ghic.
The proposed reactor, designated by the applicants.as the Davis-Bec.se Nuclear Pouer Station (the station), is designed for initial operation at approxicately 2,633 megavatta thermal, uith a net electrical cutput l
o f apprcn :.ately 872 megawatts.
The Toledo Edi' en Co. and The Cleveland Electric lliuminating Co.
as tenants in commca will share undivided ownership c f the station and l
the site, with each sharing the costs of construction and operation o f the statica. Toledo Edison will have cceplete responsibility for the design, installation and operation of the facility.
