In accordance with your request, we have performed a general review of the PSAR Volumes 1-4 and Amendments 1-7 for the Davis-Besse Plant.
i Our review was also based on data gained during several meetings with members of the staffs of DRS and DRL, and during a meeting with the members of the staifs and the applicant on afay 19, 19 70.
i Ne are enclosing herewith five copies of our report, " Review of the Seismic Design Criteria for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station."
Ne have revised our 5 fay 15,1970 preliminary report based on discussions with the applicant and members of the DRS and DRL staffs at a meeting on
- .tay 19, 1970, and on Amendments No. 5-7 to the PSAR.
As requested by your staf ' ve have deleted any reference to the problems of solution activity in thu foundation material. We submitted questions to the AEC on April 21, 1970, and understand that this item is to be J
covered in a separate report.
