By letter dated May 18, 1973 the licensee has requested an amendment to the OL for renoval of the BPRAs. Attachment No.1 to the letter contains the licensee's safety evaluation justifying continued operation for the 1st cycle of the facility with all 68 BPRAs removed.
The licensee has requested the associated tech-nical specification changed on an emergency i
basis by 5/28/78.
We request that the needed safety evaluation input be provided by Itay 24 ~, 1978 to provide justification supporting the amendment to the Davis Besse, Unit 1 license.
