UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-346 THE TOLEDO EDISON C0!!PA'iY NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT E'iVIRON ENTAL STATEMENT FOR TIE DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 1 Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Uaited States Nuclear Regulatory Cocmission's regulations in 10 CFR Part 50, notice is hereby given that a Draf t Environmental Statement prepared by 'the Commission's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation related to the proposed operation of Davis-3 esse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 in Ottawa County, Ohio is available for inspection by the public in the Commission's Public Document l

Room at 1717 H Street, N. W., Washington, D. C. and in the Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Avenue, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. The Draft Statement is also being made available at the Office of the Governor, State Clearinghouse, 62 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio and the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments, 420 Madison Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43604. Reques s for copies of the Draft Environmental Statement should be addressed to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Coanission, Washington, D. C., Attention: Director, Division of Reactor Licensing.

The Applicant's Environmentel Report, Operating License Stage, as supplemented, subnitted by The Toledo Edison Company is also available for public inspection at the above-designated locations. Notice of availability of the Applicant's Environmental Report was published in the FIDERAL REGISTER on October 31,1973 (38 FR 30048).

, Pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50, incarested persons may subtait coc=ents on the Applicant's Environmental Report, as supplemented, and the Draft Environmental Statement for the Commission's consideration.

Federal and State agencies are being provided with copies of the Applicant's Environmental Report and the Draft Environmental Statement (local agencies may obtain these documents upon request). Coc:ments are due by June 23,1975.

Co::ments by Federal, State, and local officials, or other persons received by the Commission will be made available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room in I!ashington, D. C. and the Ida Rupp Pu'lic Library, Port Clinton, Ohio. Upon consideration of cociments sub-o sitted with respect to the Draf C Enviroru:lental Statement, the Co= mission's staff will prepara a Final Environmental Statement, the availability of which will be published in the FEDERAL REGISTER.
