Dear Mr. Knighton:
Under separate cover, we are transmitting twenty-five (25) copies of our third Semi-Annual Report of our Pre-Operational Environmental Monitoring Programs for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
This report is for the period January 1, 1975 to June 30, 1975.
During this period activities continued to be directed toward obtaining aquatic, radiological, and terrestrial baseline data documenting natural fluctuations in the environment.
The only modification to these programs since our last Semi-Annual Report is that the frequency of ichthyoplankton sampling has been increased from once a month to once every ten days. This data is being compared with data presently being collected by Federal EPA at Toussaint Reef at ten day intervals using identical sampling techniques.
The data collected for this period are consistent with previous data collected and do not indicate any unusual conditions for Western Lake Erie.
