_7 FACILITY:, Davis-Besse Unit 1 IDENTIFICATION OF OCCURRENCE: Maximum Discharge Temperature d T not being monitored.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence: Plant in Mode 5. Power: MWT-0, MWE-0 Description of Occurrence: Computer Point T565, " Intake ba'nal Fr.om Lake In

. Temperature" was not functioning (therefore, the 21 T, Co=puter Point T191 was not being calculated) and manual temperature readings were not being taken as required in Environmental Technic,a,1 Specification 2.1.1. This was d,iscovered during the routine analysi,s,of the Daily _ Log reading sheets.

Designation of' Apparent Cause of Occurrence: A blown fuse was. determined to have caused the inoperability of T565.

('-/ ) Analysis of Occurrence: A review of the status of the plant operations indi-cated that the limit of 20 F0 d T could not have been exceeded; therefore, there was no adverse environmental impact.

Corrective Action: A work request was issued and completed and Computer P6 int

. T565 was restored to service. A change has been initiated to monitor the computer point daily for proper operation to prevent recurrence.

Failure Data: No previous similar events- have occurred.
