r v. 1 DFM o

.MN!GES IN SSE FOR 08-1 AND CB-2 '. 3

SUBJECT:

MT I was notified this morning (October 20, 1976) by "r.

L. Ryter of the Seismology Branch that he is evaluating recent seismic infor-mation as it relates to the SSE g value for the DB 2 & 3 annlication.

A seismic event occurred on February 2,1976, accarently with an epicenter located in Lake Erie norta of the 03 site. Pe indicated that a 0.2S g value (SSE) may now be aoplicable for this site.

It is to be noted that the DB-1 SSE g valua is 0.15.

Since ACRS (full committee meetings) has been asking if new seismic data has become available after seismic design criteria have been established on OL apolications, m may well be faced with addrassing this "cotential" matter at the ACRS DB-1 meeting.

Nothing is final at this time. However, based on the infomation which '4r. Ryter now has available, he seemed positive that a 0.25g is aoplicable to the DB site.

I will keep you infomed on these =atters.
