Knop, Chief, Reactor Projects Section, NRC:III CORE FLOOD TANK DYNAMIC TESTING - DAVIS BESSE UNIT NO.1 As a result of further st.ady of the videotape data for the core flood tank flow test, it has been shown that the system is apparently capable of discharging its contents into the reactor vessel within the design goal.
This natter has been discussed with R. D. Ifartin of your staff and appropriate NRC personnel to verify that our understanding of the system and the flow dynamics is correct.
Mr. Martin has indicated that he is satisfied with the resolution of this matter.
