Shaper, Assistant General Counsal, Licensing and Regulation DOCKIT NO. 50 344 DATIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION On January 27, 1972 Mr. Gerald Charnoff wrote a letter to Mr. Muntzing (correspondence Control No. 517) re<suesting that the AEC uke a determination that a certification pursuant to Section 21(b) of the Federal Water Po11ocicn Control Act is not required for the Davis-9 esse Nuclear Power Station.
Apparently the applicant feels he should have a legal deter:r.ination by AEC prior to March 24, 1972. It is requestad that you take the necessary action on this utter.
