Dear Air. Schwencer:
The following scheduling information is provided in response to the matters listed in your letter of August 6,1974.
1.
LOCA Analysis and ECCS Desien THE compie' tion ot"the LOCA analysis and ECCS design by the NSSS vendor incorporating the new ECCS rule (10CFR Part 50, Appendix K)is on schedule and is expected to be completed and reviewed by Toledo Edison in December of 1974, at which time the information will be submitted to the AEC.
2.
Quality Assurance for Operation The revised section 17.2 of the FSAR is being submitted on August 15,1974 as Revision 8 to the FSAR.
3.
Industrial Security Plan The Industnal Secunty Plan is presently being developed. Revision 9 to the FSAR will include a change in the response to the AEC Question #13.7 as follows:
" Preparation of an Industrial Security Plan was initiated in January of 1974. TECo has specified the date for completion of the plan as January of 1975, which is better than 3 months prior to scheduled fuel receipt on station. The date is included in the AEC Regulatory Operation Status Summarv Report, the " Yellow Book" The plan will be submitted, however, as soon as it has been completed, which may be prior to January of 1975."
4.
Radioactin 5faterial Safety The mf0:7 nation requested by Regulatory Guide 1.70.3 is presently being prepared and is expected to be ready for submittal in Revision 9 of the FSAR, which is tentatively scheduled for submittal on September 30, 1974.
Additional information v0ich may be required in response to the first round requests will also be included in Revision 9 to the FSAR.
