SUBJECT:
CONNECTORS RECOMMENDED TO BE SUBJECTED TO VERIFICATION TESTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMISSION DIRErTr,E RSR requested that the Research Review Group (RRG) 7. commend the connectors which are to be subjected to a verification test program as directed by the Comission's April 13,1978 Order. The RRG indicated that connectors should

be selected both from a PWR and BWR design. ~ ' DOR and I&E representatives indicated they would recomend the connectors to be tested. The following are the recommended connectors:
BWR (1) Peach Bottom - Pyle National Connectors; or (2) Browns Ferry - Bendix Connectors PWR (1) Palisades - Viking Spec Connectors; or (2) Oconee - Viking Spec Conn,ectors Although we have recomended these connectors, you may wish to utilize other tests and connectors ideritified in the memorandum from E. Case to the Comissioners, dated March 23, 1978 due' to availab'lity of the connec-tors to be tested, extensive procurement time or other conttraints.
