The purpose of this letter is en inform you that Duquesta I

Light Company will participate in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Emergency

Response

Data System (ERDS) project.

We t'

believe this would be an enhancement to our overall emargency l

preparedners effort at the Beaver Valley Power Station.

In response to Generic Letter 89-15 concerning contact pointr within the C,mpany, Mr.

Glenn McKee will act as the primary j

contact and Mr. Frank Pavlechko will serve as a backup.

Mr. McKee may be reached at 412-393-5778 and Mr. Pavlechko at 412-393-5767.

-Preliminary studies have already commenced using the l',

parameters required in Generic Letter 89-15 enclosure 1

for l

Pressurized Water Reactors.

During a

recent telephone conversation between Mr. McKee and Mr. Joicoeur of your office, it J

was agreed that the Beaver Valley Site ERDS project will commence I

1990, early 1991.

necessary to successfully complete the ERDS project.
