NRC IE Bulletin No. 80-09 "Hydramotor Actuator Deficiencies
Dear Sir:
This is to inform you that due to delays experienced on Northern Indiana Public Service Company's (NIPSCO) Bailly Nuclear-1 project, engineering by both NIPSCO's nuclear steam supplier (General Electric) and architect engineer (Sargent & Lundy) has been stopped temporarily.
Therefore, NIPSCO has not been able to obtain the necessary information to determine whether any safety-related systems or components that have been delivered to the Bailly site contain AH-90 or NH-90 series Hydra-motor Actuators manufactured by ITT General Cor.trols. There has been no equipment installed to date, therefore, the onl-possibility of such equipment oeing on site would be in storage.
We will pursue this item as soon as engineering resumes and forward our findings to you. In any event, we will respond by June 1,1981.
