.c UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION DOCKETS 50-329 AND 50-330 CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND FACILITY LICENSE Consumers Power Company, (the applicant) 212 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan, pursuant to Section 104(b) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, has filed an application, dated January 13, 1969, for authorization to construct and operate two pressurized water nuclear reactors at the applicant's Midland site. The site is located on the-right shcre of the Tittabawasee River in Midland Township, Midland County, Michigan, and is adjacent to the Dow Chemical Company's main industrial complex in the City of Midland.
The proposed reactors, designated by the applicant as the Midland Plant Uni:s Nos.1 and 2, are each designed for initial operation at approximately 2,452 thermal megawatts.
The total net output of both plants will be approximately 1325 megawatts, electrical, plus 4,050,000 lbs/hr of process steam.
