On September 13, 1974, following the Regulatory Staff's evaluation of changes in Consumers Power Company's financial situation with respect to the Midland Plant, you requested that the Company continue to inform the Co= mission of any new information relating to its general financial status and provide the Co= mission with certain quarterly reports during the calendar year 1975 You further requested notification of any changes in the Consumers Power Company quality control and quality assurance activities associated with the construc-tion of the Midland Plant. On January 16, 1975, following the Co==ission's review of Amendment No. 28 to the Midland Plant application for construction permits and operating licenses, Mr. Voss A. Moore requested that certain additional infor=ation and materials be provided in the Company's next quarterly report to the Commission covering the fourth quarter and calendar year 1974. The enclosed report is responsive to each of these requests.

Pursuant to Mr. Moore's direction, three (3) signed originals and forty (40) conformed copies of the report are hereby filed within thirty (30) days of the issuance of the Consumers Power Company 1974 annual report to stockholders.
